The Caldwell Chiefs came into the Group 2 Championship boasting the longest winning streak in the state at 27 games. Their opponent across the field was the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs at Rutgers’ campus in Piscataway. The Chiefs would go into cold, windy SHI Stadium and take care of business against the Bulldogs, capping a second consecutive undefeated season with a group title and letting the state’s longest winning streak live to see another season.
The game most believed would be the best of the weekend did not disappoint. The Delsea Crusaders and Old Tappan Golden Knights are two of the state’s heavyweights, and they met on the grandest stage of them all in the Group 3 Championship at SHI Stadium on Rutgers’ campus in Piscataway.
The Group 1 Championship was a story of night and day. The Mountain Lakes Herd and Woodbury Herd would meet at Rutgers’ SHI Stadium in Piscataway to start the first day of games.
