Younghoe Koo Returns to Ridgewood for a Special Kicking Camp

This summer, Ridgewood High School will welcome back one of its own—Younghoe Koo, the star kicker for the Atlanta Falcons. On July 8, 2024, Koo will host his inaugural "Koo's Kicking Camp," a unique opportunity for young athletes from fifth grade through high school to learn from one of the NFL's best.

Koo's journey from Ridgewood to the NFL is inspiring. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he moved to Ridgewood at the age of 12 and quickly made his mark in both soccer and football. After excelling in high school football, Koo went on to play at Georgia Southern University, where he earned first-team All-Conference honors and was a finalist for the prestigious Lou Groza Award. Since joining the NFL, Koo has become one of the league's top kickers and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2020. 

Now, he's giving back to the community that supported his early football dreams. The camp will feature personalized coaching, skill development drills, and a skills competition, all designed to help participants elevate their game.
