In a highly anticipated WJFL showdown, Washington Township continued its unbeaten run with a commanding 38–17 win over Rancocas Valley, improving to 7–0 and proving once again why this veteran group is one of South Jersey’s most complete teams.

Rancocas Valley entered the game energized, welcoming back starting quarterback Sayvien Adams after a two-week absence. But Township quickly set the tone, blending physicality in the trenches with precision on both sides of the ball. Colin Beeler opened the scoring with a tough 4-yard run in the first quarter, while kicker Luke Sheets stayed automatic all night long.

RV managed to answer with a 38-yard field goal from Jameson Hollander, but Township’s offense began to roll behind a bruising ground game. Andrew Osborn broke through with a 7-yard touchdown before Beeler found the end zone again — this time from nine yards out — giving the Minutemen a 21–10 halftime lead.

The defense made sure that cushion held. Early in the third, Parker Reese scooped up a fumble and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown, igniting the visiting sideline. Sheets later added a 24-yard field goal, and Jaylen Robinson put the finishing touches on the night with a 13-yard rushing score in the fourth. By then, Township had racked up over 200 yards on the ground and completely controlled the pace.

Beeler was once again the workhorse, finishing with 126 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. His mindset, however, remains locked in on the bigger picture.

“My mindset heading into the rest of the season is the same as it was,” Beeler said. “We don’t want to get too complacent. We go into every week with the same mindset — it doesn’t matter who we play. The end goal is to win states. We all work hard every single day and we’re ready for every challenge in front of us.”

With the win, Township sits atop the WJFL Classic Division at 7–0, continuing its case as a serious state contender. Rancocas Valley (4–3) showed flashes with Adams back under center and Jameer Bellamy’s 86 rushing yards, but the Minutemen’s balance and discipline proved too much to overcome.

Township now turns its focus toward closing the regular season strong — and with performances like this, the road to December might just run through Washington Township.
