Walker Snee Transfers to Paramus Catholic, Eyes Bigger Role and Bigger Goals
Walker Snee, one of New Jersey’s top young quarterback prospects in the Class of 2029, is transferring from Bergen Catholic to Paramus Catholic, a move that signals both patience rewarded and ambition embraced.
As a freshman at Bergen Catholic, Snee spent much of the season learning behind veteran quarterback Trey Tagliaferri. His reps were limited, but the Crusaders found ways to utilize his athleticism when he saw the field. In 2025, Snee threw just 26 passes and finished with 37 rushing attempts for 271 yards and three touchdowns, flashing his ability as a dual-threat despite a small sample size.
Now, he heads to Paramus Catholic looking for more than flashes. he’s looking for responsibility. “I’m most excited to ball out with my guys,” Snee said. “It’s an honor to be playing for Coach Russo. I’m very excited for the next three years.”
The move brings Snee to a program already on the doorstep. The Paladins are coming off a Non-Public B state championship appearance at MetLife Stadium, returning a strong core of players determined to finish the job. With experience across the roster and expectations already high, Paramus Catholic offers Snee the chance to grow alongside a group built to compete immediately.
There’s also pedigree behind the name. Snee is the grandson of Tom Coughlin, the former Giants head coach known for building disciplined, championship-level teams. While the legacy adds intrigue, Snee is clear about wanting to define his own path.
Paladin fans, he says, should expect more than just production. “An unbelievable leader and teammate,” Snee explained. “Someone willing to work as hard as they can and someone who wants to win a state championship.”
The goals are bold, but intentional.
“Some of the goals I have are to win a state championship, 3,000-plus total yards of offense and with this team I know it’s possible,” he said. “It’s an extremely talented group, and I’m blessed to work together day by day so we can reach our end goal. I’m excited for this opportunity.”
After a year of learning, waiting, and growing behind the scenes, Walker Snee is stepping into a situation built for the next phase of his development. For Paramus Catholic, the addition brings a young quarterback with upside, leadership traits, and something to prove.
And for Snee, the next chapter isn’t about what he didn’t get last season, it’s about what’s in front of him now.
