Toms River North Celebrates Coach Oz’s 100th Win with Shutout Over Southern Regional

The Toms River North Mariners extended their perfect season to 8-0 by dismantling Southern Regional 35-0. This game not only underscored their prowess on the field but also celebrated a landmark achievement for their esteemed coach.

The Mariners wasted no time asserting their dominance. Mekai Morse ignited the scoring with an electrifying pick-six, setting the tone early. Quarterback TJ Valerio then took center stage, throwing three touchdown passes before the half. Valerio connected with Morse again for another score, and Nasir Jackson caught the other two touchdown passes, showcasing a potent aerial attack that left Southern Regional reeling.

In the second half, Toms River North added another touchdown to their tally and continued their relentless defensive performance. The Mariners' defense was impenetrable, keeping the Rams scoreless and under constant pressure throughout the game.

Reflecting on the milestone and the game, Coach Oz expressed pride in his team’s performance and gratitude for the journey so far. "Reaching 100 wins is special, but all the work is on your guys shoulders" he remarked, emphasizing the collaborative spirit and dedication within the team.
