In a quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 2 tournament, Pascack Valley took a significant step forward in their postseason campaign by securing a crucial victory against a formidable Glen Rock team.

The game commenced with both teams displaying solid defense and strategic play. Pascack Valley's pitcher, JT Deriso, and Glen Rock's Nick Atme, showcased their skills on the mound, keeping the game tight through the early innings.

The scoring opened in the bottom of the first when Glen Rock took an early lead thanks to a series of skillful plays, culminating in a crucial RBI. However, their lead was short-lived as Pascack Valley tightened their defense and focused on getting back in the game. Glen Rock led 1-0.

Both teams struggled to capitalize on opportunities as the pitchers began to lock in and leave the runners on base. The tension built as 3 innings passed without a change in the score. The critical moment came in the fifth inning when Pascack Valley erupted for four runs. Key hits, including a double and strategic base running, allowed them to not only take the lead but to build a margin that put significant pressure on Glen Rock.

JT Deriso continued his dominance on the mound, ensuring that the initial lead taken by Glen Rock remained their only score of the game. His pitching line included six strikeouts and just one earned run over seven innings as the Panthers advance into the sectional semi final round.
