Mason Mangione Cements Legacy at Glen Rock with the All Time Scoring Record

There are special moments in high school sports that define a player’s legacy. For Glen Rock senior Mason Mangione, that moment came this season when he became the all-time leading scorer in program history, shattering the previous record with 1,278 career points—and counting.
"It feels great, I think it is shows how great my teammates and coaches have been to me throughout my career and also shows the work that I have put in to get to this point" says Mangione.
The TCNJ Basketball commit, Mangione has been the heart of Glen Rock’s offense throughout his career. This season, he’s taken his game to another level, averaging 20.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, leading the Panthers to an impressive 19-4 record. His ability to score from anywhere on the floor—whether knocking down deep threes, finishing strong in the paint, or making clutch free throws—has made him one of the toughest matchups in the area.
Mangione has had multiple standout performances this year, including a 39-point explosion against Pascack Valley and a 38-point showing against Ridgewood, proving his ability to take over games. Whether Glen Rock needs a big shot or a spark on offense, Mangione has answered the call. His consistency has been impressive scoring over 20 points in nearly half his games. WIth his knack for stepping up against top competition, he’s been the difference-maker in close matchups.
While setting the scoring record is a major milestone, Mangione’s focus remains on helping Glen Rock make a deep playoff run. The Panthers have been dominant this season, and with their leader at the forefront, they’re primed for a strong postseason push.
"We are focused on building positive habits and getting better everyday. We have a ton of experience coming back and are looking forward to see what kind of run we can make in states."

He’s been a steady presence for Glen Rock—whether through his leadership, his relentless scoring, or his ability to rise to the occasion in big moments.
