Elizabeth Sweeps Season Rivalry with Linden

The highly anticipated matchup between Elizabeth and Linden ended with Elizabeth coming out on top. After a slow start to the game, Elizabeth found their footing with some timely 3-pointers from multiple players that put them in the driver's seat.

The teams were evenly matched throughout the first half with great defensive schemes and matchups. Both teams needed to find their rhythm on offense whcih wouldn't come until the third quarter. It was a back-and-forth affair through the last few minutes of the game but Elizabeth's defense and clutch shooting put them on top. Jordan Torres led the way for Elizabeth with 13 points, helping to secure the season sweep of their longtime rivals. The Minutemen hold off Linden to win 38-35.

With this win, Elizabeth has gained the upper-hand in the rivalry with Linden. It's a rivalry that dates back many years and it looks like Elizabeth is prepared to take the reins with Legendary (former) Linden Coach Phillip Colicchio. Going forwawrd the Miniutemen jump to 9-6 on the season and look to keep the momentum going. They have a solid schedule ahead, but will certainly be a team to watch come playoff time.
