Don Bosco Prep continued its dominant run this season, completing a two-game series sweep against top-10 rival DePaul and extending their unbeaten streak to 6-0.

In the series opener, Don Bosco edged out a tightly contested 3-2 victory. Ethan Lee delivered a poised performance on the mound, striking out five batters over four innings of relief work, while Junzen Sarza secured the win, helping hold the Spartans at bay. Dylan Espinal’s crucial home run in the sixth inning proved decisive, breaking a deadlock and cementing the Ironmen's victory. Chase Bagley also contributed significantly, going 1-for-2 with two walks and a key run scored.

The Ironmen carried their momentum into the second game with a commanding 10-2 win, showcasing their depth and offensive firepower. Nick Becker led the charge at the plate, going 2-for-3, including a three-run home run, finishing with three RBIs. Dennis Mulhearn contributed two hits and two RBIs, further bolstering Don Bosco's strong offensive showing.

Anthony Costello earned the victory in the second matchup, tallying seven strikeouts across 3 2/3 innings. The Ironmen's pitching staff combined for 14 strikeouts on the day, effectively stifling DePaul’s offensive threats.

Ace pitcher Ethan Lee emphasized the team's collective mentality and preparation following the sweep: "Our mindset going into games is just not doing too much and staying as simple as we can and staying on our approach. We all trust in each other and work as a team to be as best as we can."

Lee, now in his third season at Bosco, also touched on his individual preparation: "I prepare mentally and physically as soon as I’m told that I am getting the start. What’s been key for me this year is just staying composed, hitting my spots, making good pitches, and taking time if I need to reconnect and get back on track."

With these impressive back-to-back victories, Don Bosco solidifies its position as a premier team in North Jersey baseball and looks poised for continued success throughout the season.
